Engraving is one of the
oldest graving technique; this printing technique produces
the sharpest, finest and most crisp images as compared to
other techniques. The method is a type of gravure printing
involving pushing the substrate against a recessed plate.
The substrate/paper is slightly moistened and the pressure
of the cylinder forces the ink from recessed area to the paper.
As a result of application of pressure, the imprinted area
raises giving it an engraved appearance
